Single Parents is a half hour single camera comedy about dealing with everyday life and finding your village, brought to you by J.J. Philbin and Liz Meriwether
Single Parents is a delightful ensemble family comedy that aired for two seasons on ABC. This show marks my first time editing for a network show and it was the culmination of all I had been working toward up to this point. The cast and crew of this show really felt like family and it was fulfilling to bring something into the world that was positive and joyous. This show was truly a dream to work on.
The cast of characters was a diverse, fully realized bunch who could all lead their own show.
“While Killam is ostensibly the lead, “Single Parents” teases a promising ensemble comedy that follows its own premise by giving everyone a chance to shine. Meester especially steps up to the plate, showing off the sharp comic timing that she’s brought to more dramatic roles throughout her career.” - Variety
The biggest challenge on this show was getting the episodes to time, having to leave some great jokes and moments on the cutting room floor!
