This show was truly a delight to work on, from the diverse cast of characters to the wonderful and realistic multi generational family dynamics. The show centers around siblings Lily and Jorge Diaz and the rest of their large Latino family living in Portland, Oregon and it is full of heart, humor and dancing! This show featured multiple queer characters including trans and non-binary characters, which was particularly rewarding for me to work on. I love being a part of putting projects like this into the world.

One major challenge of this show was to nail the pacing. At its core, With Love is a romantic comedy and we wanted the comedy aspect of that to really land, for the jokes to be quick and punchy but it was also important to live in the more dramatic moments and let them breathe. Executive Producers Gloria Calderón Kellett and Andy Roth had such a sharp eye for both elements of the show so it was a joy and privilege to collaborate with them on Season 2.

It was super fun to get to edit the finale of the season. It featured a wedding, which can be very complicated, but I enjoyed the layered scenes involving a large number of main and guest cast that made up the extended Diaz family. This episode had tears, reconciliations and lots of dancing!

It was an honor to be involved with this show that I describe as a warm hug.
